1. How is the theme of 'risk' explored in this novel?

I think that risk is a big part of this novel. The way that Thorns starts the list is puts him in danger of life or death. When he ride the horse and he fell of it could have been way worse. He is messing with life or death whaen he is trying to overcome the list.

when they go and ditch school and when they also go on roof of school and most of the other stuff is a risky move

I agree with Cory the "wagging" school chapter was a huge risk & the roof, well they put their lives in danger! Also Jack talking to Olivia Nightingale (Sophie) is a risk. He is madly in love with her and he didnt want to risk not seeing her anymore if he made a wrong move or word decision
