The turning point is when jack stops being the one that just agrees and says that it should be an equal thing i think he took a massive risk and it would have made him feel less of a sheep (follower)

The massive turning point in this story for me is when Thorns reveiled he had a "dogdy" heart and showed Jack his list of all the stuff he wants to do before his heart goes out on him

The massive turning point ws when Thorns told Jack about the list and it was such a big deal for the book.Jack made himself part of the book from not following what ever Thorns does.
